Within three days, a second visitor to Yellowstone National Park was bitten by a bison, according to officials.
This is the third attack in less than a month.
A 71-year-old Pennsylvania woman was attacked by bison at Storm Lake in Yellowstone on Wednesday, the park statement said.
She suffered “non-life threatening” injuries and was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Cody, Wyoming. She is expected to make a full recovery.
According to the statement, she and her daughter “unintentionally” approached the animal while returning to their vehicle, which resulted in the bull’s charge.
