Jordan Kleber is back in Trump’s world to see what MAGA supporters get from the Jan. 6 House Select Committee hearing. (Hint: nothing.)
The Daily Show reporter interviewed former President Donald Trump supporters at a rally in Mississippi to see if the shocking evidence presented by the Jan. 6 committee investigating the U.S. Capitol attack have any effect.
Most said they didn’t watch the hearing. The two women didn’t even know what happened on January 6, 2021. And, as Kleber observes, “Insurgency is a non-issue for almost everyone here. The hearing itself is the issue.”
When Kleber showed attendees that former Attorney General William Barr called Trump’s election fraud charges “bullshit” and that Ivanka Trump said she believed Barr, they still didn’t believe it .
